Engagement story

Here it goes, my wonderful engagement story.

It was a super sweet engagment, so it was a very rough time for me. I had lost my dad to cancer in September 24th 2019.

It was extremely hard as my dad only got to meet his grandson for only one month.. 😢💔 So December comes and it was a hard time for my mom & my brother and me.

So I didn’t really wanna celebrate or decorate for Christmas, but my boyfriend said we should so we can show the kids that it’s still a time to celebrate. So We set up the tree and everything around the 22nd of December.

Then the 24th comes and I told him I’m gonna bring out my camera and take picture of the tree and us sitting around the tree with our son. Then he’s like no no I got this let me set it up, I was like uh okay because I’m the Photographer in the family so I didn’t think much of it though.

So I set my son in his little bumbo chair and then my boyfriend said here give this gift to your mom. I let him play with it until he opened it and I looked at the box and knew it was the bracelet that I got for myself and I open it and I keep looking at the bracelet because I couldn’t remember what it looked like, while I was doing that my boyfriend was down on one knee and was asking me will you marry me? I was oblvious to the fact that there was a black diamond ring in the middle of the box.

But I finally caught on and my face went bright red and I was crying tears of joy and said yes 💍.

Now I’m married to the man of dreams, we have two beautiful boys together and life just couldn’t be any better and our family grew as my step son became officially a part of my life 💙 and its been amazing ❤

My Wedding story

It was a beautiful July day, the sun was shining, it was a tiny bit windy. But thats what happens when you live in Saskatchewan, espeically in the south east of Saskatchewan.

It was a hard day as It was looming in my mind that my dad wasn’t there.. but I had so many things to remeber my dad. We took some pictures with items I had gotten to remember my dad.

I loved that we could remember my dad so beautifully.  The ceremony was a hit, we had a flower guy and flower girl and they did amazing 👏, my ring bearer’s were my kids and they rocked it. My bridesmaid was amazing and my good friend for 8 years ❤

The ceremony was crazy we had a little mishap with the rings, but hey you need one crazy thing to happen 😜

The sand ceremony was beautiful and it went by so fast. I’m just so glad I was able to capture first looks and to get some tractor pictures, because who doesn’t want a little country in their wedding 💜

We ended the ceremony by taking time to ourselves and get some wedding pictures.

Then we ended off the day with our reception, this was beautiful 😍 I was happy to be able to see so many faces and to share our love with so many people ❤

Thank you everyone for coming to our big day ❤

Ashley and Justin Wedding

A beautiful day, it was such a short but simple ceremony.

The location was perfect, so many beautiful places to take photos.

We decided to head over to the ledgeslative building to capture their love for each other.

I couldn’t have asked for an easier couple, they were so simple and were so easy to work with and made me laugh and smile. Thank you both and again congratulations you two and the best to you in the future ❤

Details and Decor shots

Décor shots are so very important. They are something you will want to remember from your wedding. I know it’s important to me because It was bonding experience with my mom and brought us even more closer 💜

I always like to capture as much detail when I go to weddings. Because as a bride you never know ⁹the things you might miss out on. Plus it’s the small details that you will miss because the day goes by so fast.

These memories can be treasured. Below are some beautiful details that I have captured from my own wedding, as well as weddings that I had the pleasure to take photos at.

Cake shots

Cake shots are so important, I believe that cake photos are so important as well. So you can remember what you had and used on your wedding day.

I know that mine was super important to me, so I made sure to document it. My cake topper is 60 years old. It was used at my mom’s parents wedding and then my parents wedding, then it was used at mine. Next it will be passed down to my brother so he can have for when he gets married.

I try and capture the cakes details so that you will be able to look back, and go that what we had for our wedding day 10 years down the road, then you can recreate it for your 10 year anniversary.

There’s just so many beautiful memories behind cake cutting and having the memories of how beautiful you’re cake is.

I’m definitely gonna remember for beautiful cake for the next year’s to come 💜

Ring Ceremonies

Sample Ring Ceremony #1

I, __________, take you __________ to be my (husband/ wife/ partner), secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life.

On this special day, I give to you, in the presence of all those in attendance,

My promise to stay by your side as your (husband/wife/partner)

In sickness and in health, In joy and in sorrow, as well as

Through the good times and the challenges.

I promise to love you, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you,

Laugh and cry with you, always be open and honest with you,

Respect and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

I give you this ring………..

*************************************************************************

Sample Ring Ceremony #2

______________, I give you this ring knowing in my heart that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life and my one true love.  On this special day, I give to you my sacred promise to stay by your side as your faithful (husband/wife/partner) in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow as well as through the good times and the difficult.

I promise to love you without reservation, honour and respect you, provide for your needs as best I can, protect you from harm, comfort you in times of distress, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.  I give you this ring…………..

Sample Ring Ceremony #3

___________, I give you this ring, as a sign

That I choose you for love,to be your faithful (husband/wife/partner) for long as we both shall live, today, tomorrow and always.

Sample Ring Ceremony #4

I, (name), take you, (name), to be my lawfully wedded (husband/wife), my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward.  In the presence of our witnesses, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in challenges, and in joy as well as sorrow.  I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honour and respect you, to laugh with you and to cry with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.  I give you this ring……………

And then we also have the sample of doing the sand ceremony.

The sand ceremony represents the blending of two people, the bride and the groom, each with their own individual gifts and special attributes, that they now bring into a single, sacred unit that is their marriage — the joining of their lives.  .

Standing together never means dissolving your individual selves into each other, but it strengthens the individuality of each. A good marriage evolves when two distinct individuals face life’s joy and its sorrow in harmony, not necessarily in unison.

The combining of these sands represents the joining of _____and _____thus creating a new, equally beautiful union between two loving and committed people to each other and their new life together as man and wife.

Where to Purchase a marriage license:

I should mention that both parties need to be there when purchasing and you will need two pieces of Government ID.

Why I choose to become a photographer 📷📸

Why I choose to become a photographer.

I choose to become a photographer, because ever since I was in elementary school I was always trying to capture.picfures. I found that it was becoming a hobby.

I loved the feeling of having a camera in my hands. It felt so good being able to capture all the small and big moments and memories.

I have been into photography for 10 years, but professionally it’s been since 2018. These past years I have changed my business name, I dropped the event planning portion from my name. As I knew my true passion was photography.

I have always loved being behind a camera and capturing memories and moments for people. I have always dreamt that one day I would run my own business. I’m thrilled that my dream has came true. I know that I will one day be able to teach the three kids how to take photos.

It’s crazy to realize that in October will be my 4th year of this wild ride. I can’t thank my husband and parents and family for believing in me and my business 💜

Why I chose the people I used for my wedding 💒

I wanted to write about why I chose the people I did for my wedding and to give tips too.

For choosing a photographer, if you have a preference for a certain photographer, book your wedding day around when they have availability. So then you can secure your photographer.

Honestly I would say same applies to who you want to do your cake. If you have a certain cake person you have been following for awhile and want them. Then make sure that it works with when your photographer is avaible.

I wanna give the biggest Rave to my Mother, she is my rock and I wouldn’t have been able to have my big day without her, it has been a hard almost 2 years..  we lost my dad 👨 which I never thought in a million years would happen. But she had helped me so much! It was so much fun to bond more and to have her help with so many little decorations for my wedding 💒 Thank you mom for everything 💗 she made all these beautiful items including the Bouquets and boutiners 💜

Another Rave goes out to Artsy emy! Thank you for creating such beautiful items for my ceremony and reception. She created some cute items to give to our flower girl and my boys who were my ring bearer’s. As well she helped me with creating my box to ask my friend to be my Matron of Honour.

Rave to Kayter to your sewing needs, she took my dress and made it into something Iwould love. It made me feel 100 percent amazing and beautiful 😍 thank you so much for making the dress of my dreams.

 Rave to creative cakes 🎂

The cake was beautiful, it was stunning honestly, it tasted fantastic 😋 and she also worked with my mom’s cake topper. The cake topper is 60 years old and it she added some flowers to it. It made me so happy she was able to use that cake topper. 🎂 the cake was light and airy and delicious especially with the hint of lemon in the vanilla. Thank you for making the cake 💜

Rave to my sister inlaw! Baked By MJ she made such beautiful cupcakes and they were a hit! Thank you for helping out by making the cupcakes 🧁💜

Rave to my DJ! Thank you Coyote Entertainment for the music 🎶 We appericated you coming to our rustic wedding 💜

Rave to my make up artist! She was amazing and made me and my Matron of Honour look amazing and feel good! Thank you to all mak’d up and her lashes are killer! I loved wearing them check out her brand killer queen !!!

Huge shout out to my Photographer! Because she had a tough job, as I was wanting someone who had similar editing as mine and who was able to make you laugh and smile, because that’s what I do for my clients, I make them laugh and smile and talk to them and engage in conversation and she did it all. Thank you for making my rustic wedding epic 💜 thanks Praire Romance photography.

Shout out to Rental Brothers, they have this awesome photobooth, that gets mailed out to you and it’s so easy to set up and you get all the photos Sent to you!

Shout out to Beatz Eatz, the food.was amazing tasted delicious, I would definitely recommend.to anyone.who is looking for someone to cook.

Heres some positivite things about the places I rented from and some will be negative as well.

The positives was that she was super kind and easy to work with, but as soon as you want to delete stuff that you don’t wanna rent it’s a hassle. My recommendation is if you wanna use promises do not listen to her about adding more, because she won’t let you delete things like she promises. Start small so your deposit isn’t high and then you can add what you need. She came with my table cloths, table runners and chair coverings not steamed.. she also frogot 8 chair coverings and then charged me for 4 chair coverings. She also brought the wrong colours for my wedding, then told the day of her setting up she couldn’t get the colour I wanted for my back drop.. she also argued with my mom on the phone, she was very rude when we mentioned that we had to move the chairs at the ceremony so it could leave room for us to walk down, she also lied about the aisle runner being good for walking on. It was very hard to walk on so we pulled it the day of the wedding and rolled it up for her. She also wanted to come and take the chairs and arch right after we were done getting married..  then lastly she said we needed to have a deposit to hold our day so no one else could book.. we booked her a year in advance and she literally quadrupled book on our wedding day.. So If you still wanna go with promises then I highly recommend that you don’t add a bunch of things at first and make sure to check in with her to make sure she doesn’t have to many bookings and make sure to take pictures so you can get your damage deposit back. Other than a few bumps in the road its still a business that I would possibly use again. She was very nice and friendly and is 100 percent a great person 💜

Alte Weddings

Very expensive, espeically for what you get.. they don’t keep track of your deposits, so make sure you do. Though he was very good with directions and knowing what he wants.  Just disappointed as you pay 1,800 which included live streaming which is an extra 250. Oh no to mention live stream stays on YouTube for a day after the wedding. So not worth the 250 and the 1,500 you pay you only get 6 minute video. It’s hard to be please with that espeically when you spend how much money to have them come. Wouldn’t recommend for you to have a Videographer. The video was literally astonishing and beautiful but it’s just hard with the price paid for 6 minuet video is all. But he does take his time and is very patient and passionate about what he does. Just isn’t worth having someone video your wedding though.
